With almost 30 years of experience in the legal field, Tomás Villatoro is since 2016 the partner in charge of the Litigation and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolutions) areas at IUS+AEQUITAS. Throughout his career, he has played key roles as an associate and, for the last 20 years, as a partner in firms such as Mazars, Miguel Bravo Abogados and MPA Abogados.
A specialist in private law, Tomás has led the legal management of numerous legal proceedings in strategic sectors such as agency and commercial distribution (Schweppes, Eroski, Osborne, CNH), finance and banking (Bankia, Caja Navarra, Globalcaja), engineering and technology, construction and real estate.
He also has experience in the defense of the interests of the tourism sector, having advised the Spanish Federation of Tourist Housing (Fevitur) and the main associations of the sector. In addition, he has handled claims of patrimonial responsibility against public administrations derived from urban development actions.
In arbitration, he has been appointed arbitrator or co-arbitrator in arbitrations related to construction, real estate and finance disputes, administered by entities such as the Madrid Court of Arbitration and the European Arbitration Association. As a lawyer, he has participated in dozens of relevant national and international arbitrations, both commercial and investment.
He has been appointed mediator by the Centro de Mediación Empresaria de Madrid for the resolution of disputes.
